A small data footprint by design

Last updated 15 August 2026. MilesCall is designed to keep personal information separate from product analytics and only collect what is needed to operate an alert.

Information used for alerts

When you create an email alert, we store the email address, route, date, cabin, notification preference, confirmation status and a private management token. This information is used to confirm, send, pause, resume and delete your alert. We do not ask for your Cathay password, Asia Miles number, payment details or passport information.

Anonymous product analytics

With your permission, MilesCall records anonymous product events such as searches submitted, language choice, map interactions and alert creation. These records help us understand which routes and features are useful. Our application analytics do not store your email address, IP address or browser fingerprint.

Availability history

We keep aggregated and date-level availability observations to study how published award availability changes over time. These records contain route, date, cabin, availability status and timestamps, not your personal identity.

Hosting and service providers

MilesCall uses hosting, database and email-delivery providers to operate the service. Those providers may process technical information needed to serve the site, secure it and deliver email. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply.

Retention and your choices

You can decline optional analytics in the consent banner. You can remove an alert at any time through its private management link; the alert record and its associated email data will then be deleted from the active service. Availability history and anonymised analytics may remain because they cannot identify you directly.
